Absolutely life changing piece of equipment.
My dog previously would chase anything that moved. We worked tireless with a trainer and spent a lot of money using treats and rewards and management of our dog, but it also meant he was restricted to a lead and even then he slipped free to chase a deer and injured me in the process.
We then found a new trainer who worked with us to understand our dogs drives and behaviours and it became clear why the cheese and chicken treats were not stopping him chasing.
We were initially against the idea of ecollar training Because we didn’t like the thought of it and I can honestly say I thought this without ever even reading about ecollar training.
This tool is so different to what I thought it was and the way you use it is completely different to what I thought it would be. Since working with a new trainer and conditioning our dog to the ecollar he now understands what we’re asking of of him and has clear boundaries that he is not allowed to chase animals.
Our dog is now able to roam free and be completely fulfilled off lead and has a reliable recall that keeps him and everyone else safe. The mini educator itself is very easy to use, tested to the highest standards (I read a lot before I purchased one) and is a very trusted brand that provides consistent feedback and allows a wide range of fine tuning so it can be really specific to your dogs requirements.
If you are reading this and are still unsure, please find a well respected trainer that specialises in ecollar training and you will not regret it.
Our dogs working level is a 6 which our trainer also made us feel on our own necks (we went up to level 30 just to understand the different Intensities) and I was so shocked at what the collar felt like verus The horror stories I had read online.
