Choosing a size — add or remove links to fine-tune; as a rough breed guide:
Small (15"): smaller and medium dogs — Spaniels, Border Collies, Staffies, Whippets
Large (21"): larger, broad-necked dogs — Labradors, German Shepherds, Boxers, Rottweilers, Dobermanns
It should fit snug but not tight, sitting high on the neck — you should be able to slip 2–3 fingers between the collar and neck, and it should not pull off over the head.
