I ordered the 55cm Grot collar. The collar is great but as I've used it the collar has stretched and now drags on the floor. It was fine when I first received it. It is now too long. 😢

Much better having the slightly smaller shorts links more adaptable and able to get size required without loosing the control element.

We have a very smart border collie cross retriever. She can learn anything and we've taught her lots. We taught her to heel easily and she learnt it easily. However she WOULD NOT do it! Ever. Off lead she is amazing. Brilliant recall, good with other dogs and people. But on lead she becomes a plough horse. We've worked with her for 18 months now to no avail. It was miserable trying to take her anywhere she had to be on a lead. I'm aware of the controversy surrounding the prong collar, and I note that the rspca does not endorse them. But it seems that many many dog trainers use them for difficult cases. I learned from these trainers that a prong collar needs to be used with great care but can be very useful. So after 18 months (she's nearly two now) of battle I relented and bought this herm sprenger prong collar. Guess how long it took to turn her into a crufts worthy heeler? Ten MINUTES!! I barely used it but she very quickly got the jist. Yesterday we took her round a summer fair and felt very smug as we watched other dog owners being towed around by their errant canines. Previously this has been an arm wrenching neck twisting nightmare. I went for the herm sprenger because this is not something that you want to go wrong around your dogs neck. I bought it from this company because I liked the ethos of their website. By the way, when not using the prong collar she is 80% better on her usual slip lead.

great product when used correctly and under a trainer, changed our walks and both me and dog enjoy them more.

The Martin System finger kick is a great design, allowing instant access to the programmable function while maintaining full use of the hands for leads, bite wedges etc. Being able to pair multiple finger kicks to your remote is a game changer in training, being able to apply well timed negative reinforcement, corrections and even control remote reward delivery systems such as Dogtrophy or treat & train without ever reaching for the remote.

This collar has made big difference to our strong, pulling dog on a walk! With little corrections & the help of a dog trainer we are now taking more control & enjoying walks more. We do find that it doesn't always stay in place with the locking toggles & can slip down the dogs neck, needing repeat adjustment, as when it moves low he begins to pull again.

We have 2 GSDs that are great off the lead but pull like a steam train on the lead. We were advised to try the prong collar to help with this. I was dubious at first as I always imagined they were some sort of medieval torture device, but as it happens they are nothing like what I imagined. Just a little pull on the collar and the dogs are brought back to heel, not like before when I had to use quite a lot of force with a check chain. The dogs are far more engaged with me when on lead using this collar and it makes them think about what they are doing. On lead walks are far more enjoyable for me and the dogs and I hardly have to check them and this is only after a few days of use. Obviously nothing is a miracle cure, but this along with a bit of back to basics training has worked wonders. The service from Abi and Ryan has been top class too. Due to a mix up on the website I was originally sent the wrong collar, I contacted them and told them I needed the correct collar for the next day as we had a training class in the afternoon…….it arrived the very next morning! Outstanding service and a customer gained. Thanks guys.😁

For a young sighthound with a high prey drive, conventional methods weren't so effective. The mini educator was a gentle and controllable device that gave our dog the freedom to run and enjoy life. Without this she was a risk to herself and possibly others. A great device 👍
